Unique gift items for every occasion are available in the "Victorian Gift Shop" at the Gordon-Roberts House, home of the Allegany County Historical Society. The shop is located in the Carriage House adjacent to the historical house museum.
Locally made candles, delicious jams and jellies, special blend bagged teas and a wide range of teapots are available at the gift shop. An assortment of handmade spring wreaths and vintage tea sets accent old fashion shopping. We carry history and dining related booklets, The Washington Street Cookbook, Washington Street Architectural Walking Guide Book, Victorian cards, tea cards, and other stationary items. Purchase ornaments from the year-round Christmas tree. Wooden cutouts crafted in West Virginia, and other specialty items offer attention-grabbing gift ideas.
The gift shop is open during museum hours: Wed-Sat, 10 am - 4 pm. The Carriage House at 218 Washington Street has been the seasonal location of the Victorian Gift Shop. In the fall of 2013, the Carriage House became the permanent home of the gift shop.
