Training for Children's Christmas Tours
Thursday, November 20th 12:00 pm
Each year we greet hundreds of children and their families, educators, girl scout troupes, researchers, and more. Be a part of the Christmas celebration this year and be trained to guide tours. A light luncheon to follow. Please call 301.777.8678 to confirm attendance.

Tree Lighting Open House
Friday, November 28th, 4-6 pm
Kick off the Downtown Cumberland Tree-lighting with a tour through the decorated Victorian mansion once lived in by a C&O Canal president, a violin maker, and a war hero. Free admission and goodies!

Victorian Christmas Tea (ticketed event)
Friday, December 12th, 12:00 pm.
A festive tea and luncheon buffet style inside the main floor of The Gordon-Roberts House. With musical entertainment by Angela Merrithew.

Washington Street Holiday Home Tour (ticketed event)
Saturday, December 13th 2-6 pm.
A popular event! You may purchase tickets to see the inside of a selected group of homes, museums and galleries on Historic Washington Street. Call 301.777.8678 or visit The Book Center in Downtown Cumberland for tickets.

Union Grove One-Room School
Open Houses

The Union Grove One Room School was recently restored by the Allegany County Historical Society with a grant from the Maryland Historic Trust.  The school
is used to give schoolchildren the opportunity to experience a day in a one room school.  For additional information contact the Historical Society at 301-777-8678.
